On January 31, Marcus King Band plays at the Lyric Theatre.

MKB’s saxophonist is Dean Mitchell.

In the mid-1970’s a VT botany prof and I formed two-, then three-, then five-piece acoustic rock bands in the Burg. We played in and around SW Va for four or five years.

Dean Mitchell is my friend/botany prof/fellow band member’s grandson.
