I looked at the last two seasons for Robinson free throw attempts where VT

was up by 1-3 points (your criteria) in the last 5 minutes of regulation and overtime. The three misses you cite are the only misses he has under those conditions. (I'd call that confirmation bias.)

Otherwise, he's 4-4 (Ole Miss) and 2-2 (Notre Dame). Combined with the three misses you remember and the one make last night, that makes him 7-10 under the conditions you suggested.

I'm pretty sure that's insignificantly different from his career free throw percentage. If you choose not to trust him, that's your choice. I think it's an unfounded choice.
