in a positive, negative or neutral way. I still feel like I don’t know this team’s potential. Say Tech wins 3 of 5, losing close games to UVa and UNC, but beating Wake, SU and Miami that will tell me we still have a legitimate squad. Say we get blown out by UVa and UNC, then we might be more vulnerable.

Flip that and say we beat UVa and UNC, but drop 3 to Wake, SU and UM then I’ll feel like we are another 7/8 seed that has the uncanny ability to win versus ranked opponents but play down to lower competition.

If Tech wants to feel deserving of a top 10 ranking, they have to at least go 4-1 for the rest of January and beating UM on the road and taking care of Boeheim and Wake at home. If we lose to UVa and UNC, but win the rest in January, we should be around #20.

We’re NCAA tourney bound this year no matter what IMO. But the next 5 games tell us how good we really are.
