Wireless headphones will allow you to move around your house. You can also listen at a lower volume, since they'll block outside noise. I would definitely go with these over "earbuds."

Since you're using these at home, feel free to invest in good equipment. If it was for the office or other public area, would recommend going with a set of earbuds. You'll be able to carry on a conversation with your coworkers.
