1. Third time this year I've shelled out a couple hundred bucks to attend a VT game (ND football game and Military bowl were the others). Ouch.

2. We desperately need an "enforcer". Clarke used to be that guy. Right now there is no one on the team even remotely capable of playing that role. 5 would like to be that guy, but it's not going to happen when you're the smallest guy on the court.

3. Jerome really should be playing for Dook. I'm surprised he doesn't slap the floor on D. I hope our guys remember his antics last night when we get the rematch.

4. All credit to UVA for shooting lights out in the first half. My question is, do we have any alternative to "cover 2" when it is clear that the main problem in a game is 3's and not paint penetration? Yes our guys were a step slow but I also did not see our coach making many, if any, defensive adjustments to take away what UVA was doing.

5. I said it before in a previous thread about NAW, but if he wants to be a NBA player he needs to be more assertive in games like last night. He looked the part more in the second half. I would have liked to see him put the team on his back in the first, when we desperately needed someone to step up. He has the talent to be The Man, but not sure he has the killer instinct.

6. What was Buzz trying to accomplish with that weird lineup he put out midway through the first half? Other than for foul trouble, I can't imagine why he would ever want both 5 and Bede on the bench at the same time.
