This was a mutual parting of the ways. WVU didn’t want to pay him what he felt he deserved. The current administration didn’t hire him and felt he underachieved. This was going to be the last year for both sides. Grier is done and Dana’s son has graduated from University High. His move to Houston is a lateral move at best. He does have two daughters there and a great recruiting area. Wishing him nothing but the best but don’t make more of it than what it was. Contrary to what some believe, Houston has very little chance of being in a power conference anytime soon. But they keep trying, so good for them.
