It's a different mindset when 5 goes out in the middle of the game and Bede is asked to fill in, vs. Bede knowing from the opening tip that he is our starting PG and can prepare accordingly. Kinda like the diff in a backup QB subbing in-game vs. getting reps with the first team in practice.

Not to minimize 5's absence at all, but I'm more worried about only having 2 guys on the bench, both of whom are guards. I think Buzz is creative enough to figure out ways to distribute the ball-handling load among Bede, NAW, and Hill. But Buzz can't scheme his way past foul trouble. We need a Will Johnston type walk-on ASAP, preferably a frontcourt player, until Horne returns. There has to be someone on campus who played HS ball, is over 6'5", and can run the floor for 5 minutes if needed.
