It’s a sign of the automobile age reaching maturity.


The fans and the old school drivers are part of a bygone era when we still didn’t know the limits of car and driver. Cars were changing in all sorts of ways all the time. It was exciting and gratuitous. Technology and society has changed. Look no further than Harley Davidson for more evidence of how societal trends can change the appeal of a once popular indulgence. Tv watching has change things too. No longer is a huge swath of the US watching the same race on a weekend. So many other choices.
