Brownell would be an underwhelming hire, IMO. He hasn't done anything spectacular at Clemson and VT and Clemson are similar basketball schools. I think Mick Cronin would get a call if Buzz leaves, since he and Whit worked together at Cinci. He would be a solid hire, but he might want too much money.
