Ace Custis was, in fact an AP honorable mention AA in 1996 with 22 others. I couldn't find where Bimbo was, though was 1st team all Metro 3x and POY once. Dell Curry, 2nd team consensus AA in 1986. I couldn't find any nat'l awards for Allan Bristow either. The ACC is a much tougher conf. now than it's ever been with more teams. So I'd put more weight on conf teams now vs. then. Not discounting 5 at all. He prob won't win any nat'l recognition and maybe because he didn't play in Feb. But, it's possible, as a college player he is as good as or better than some of those above.
