1-2 results flip yesterday and we are ecstatic. Team overcame adversity


with injuries and international responsibilities (141, 165, 174, 197 and HWT) impacting the team at the start of the season. We start at full strength and we beat Nortwestern and possibly Mizzou Once we reached full strength we lost to two top 6-10 teams by criteria. The UNC loss is the major head scratcher.

Our young guys (Prata, Moore, BC and Lewis) improved throughout the season. A more experienced Moore wins the 141 finals. Morris capitalized on his hesitancy in the first, but Moore had him gassed at the end of the third.

Let’s give the Pack credit even if it’s begrudgingly. They finished on the podium last year and are headed for a top 10 finish this year. The dual and tournament showed that we are right there with them. A top 10 finish and most of this disappointment goes away.

The future is bright. Our talent will increase at 125-174 next season. We’ll take a step back at 184, but that’s more a testament to ZZ. Bolen will contend for AA next season. We’ll take a step back at 197 and HWT but have talented youngsters and maybe a transfer coming in.
