If this were to happen, etc. etc.
Texas and ND give up their LHN/NBC packages. This would save Texas some embarrassment because, based on LHN performance, ESPN isn't likely to offer any increase in payout for renewing. They might even try to reduce the contract value. ND doesn't have that issue so this would be a bigger step for them.
The 2nd option is for Texas to get a ND-type deal. They play 5 games, keep the LHN, etc.
