I'm definitely slow here. Are, or were, scholarships limited ...


... in value before? I always thought, especially after the cost of living payment was approved by the NCAA, that all the educational costs for going to school were now covered. What educational that is now covered wasn't covered before?

The judge expressly said that a situation like Alabama offering a $100,000 scholarship to a kid, and after all educational expenses were deducted, the balance can not be given to the player.
