In summary we are asking the machines to take on the job of the human

Repetitive and mundane tasks that dont involve much thought are great for automation. There is one fundamental thing that AI/automation will never be able to replace; that is GOD GIVEN HUMAN INTUITION; things like "gut feel", "seat of the pants" feel etc.. As we delve deeper into mechanizing everything, I worry about what happens to raw human talent and foresight that you cant replicate with AI. Automation works wells for predictable and data driven "programmable" behaviors; it doesn't work well for unforeseen events that dont follow a predefined pattern.

You see the same types of trends in the automotive world as well. When my kid are ready, I will be teaching them how to drive with a "raw" car first, without all the nanny bells and whistles. Once they know how to feel the car from the seat of their pants, is when they can have a newer car.
