D'Amour was looking at Banks, Trull, and Davis at CF...


before the season began. You're correct that Banks played CF before Lattin's injury. From watching the first few games, it looked like D'Amour wasn't settled on the CF position with Davis and Trull also playing it before Lattin's injury. He did the same with Banks and Bailey at 2B, but Banks was the right move. From my observations, D'Amour looked comfortable with his starters at 3B, SS, RF, and LF positions opening day. The biggest surprise to me has been Mackenzie Lawter at catcher. The .342 team batting average has been a pleasant surprise too.
