I don't think VT should go above $3.5 million. That gets into football coach territory. Yes, you can argue that "Buzz has done a better job than Fuente" thus far, but the hoops program simply doesn't generate the revenue that football does.

Edit: Buzz is #21 in the country right now, per USA Today. $3.5 million would put him 13th. VT's revenue, on the other hand, is 44th in the country, per USA Today.

Ya gotta know who you are and act accordingly.
