BW, it is my understanding that Beags was a salary cap casualty


Do you think the Caps should have been willing to pay him what he is receiving from Vancouver? If so, then what move(s) would you have made to free up the cap space? I was bummed when I heard that the Caps decided to let Beags walk instead of re-signing him. At least I thought the Caps would miss his ability to win the draw consistently in critical situations in addition to his PK ability.
