If the buyout was bigger I think it would have made it better for us but at the same time I don't think that was an option when Whitt inked Buzz. Think of where the program was at that point. Sure Buzz wanted out of Marquette but he took a pay-cut to come here. I think that was so he wasn't looked in or had a contract that wouldn't be attractive to other schools if they came asking.

Buzz got what he wanted (take our program to new heights at the same time building his "Brand" bigger and better.

Tech got to enjoy the run but also get put back on the map for Bball and also show other schools and coaches we can be a contender in play but also at spending $ on Bball.

I wish he was still here but Buzz wasn't from VA and he's not know to stay for long so it's what I expected. Happy for Buzz to get what he wants but doesn't mean i'm happy for A&M. That might be the best hoops coach Tech will ever have on & OFF the court.
