Not a surprise.

Pretty standard for recruits to do this. Maybe (hopefully) our new coach can win him back. It helps that he's an in-state player. From that standpoint, I would guess that we might have a decent shot to retain Gutelkin and Gordon, because they are from the region and would probably still like the chance to play in the ACC. Miller sounds like a goner.

Undoubtedly our new coach will also bring one or two recruits with him as well, so it may all end up being a wash on the recruiting side. The returning roster is another story- this is where Buzz and his habit of pocketing scholies is really going to make life difficult next season. Right now I only see 6 returning players for next year, and that assumes both Blackshear and Nolley will stick around. Let's say they don't, and we are left with Bede, Wilkins, Horne, and Kabongo, plus maybe 3-4 holdover/new coach recruits. Not even looking at talent level, that is a super bare cupboard from a roster management standpoint. This is why I think our next coach needs to hit the grad transfer market hard, because we need to add at least 2-3 veteran players next year just to be able to field a real roster.
