No, the story was where the bulk of the money was going, not who was seeing
their bill change. The argument wasn't about whether lower income people were getting anything at all, but what was going to some groups relative to others. And the fact that they funded the whole thing by blowing up the deficit. It was along the lines of "If the government is going to take a trillion dollar loan to give out a bunch of money, how should it prioritize where that money goes?". There were plenty of legitimate criticisms about the bill, including who gets the money and how come we can suddenly afford to drastically increase the deficit after that was supposedly such a problem for the last several years. The complaining about getting a smaller refund even though you paid less in taxes was kind of dumb, though. I'll agree with that. [Post edited by hucareshokiesrul at 04/05/2019 12:59PM]
