Wouldn’t be the first time any of that happened but I wouldn’t call it common. Combine that with some nuggets dropped on pay side about his thoughts towards Marquette after he left and openly recruiting for another school after one year at VT, and I tend to believe he did devise this plan with the worst of intentions. “Dirty” may not be the right word but there are many adjectives that could be used to describe him.
