I appreciate Buzz for what he did in his 5 years...

but it was all about Buzz at the end. We all knew he wasn't sticking around too long. He was always looking for another job but we all knew that a Texas or Texas A&M opening would be the end of Buzz here. Was Buzz sincere about what he said to Tech and its fans when he left? I believe that he was. Did Buzz and his family enjoy their time in Blacksburg? I think they did. Did Buzz leave the men's basketball program in the best shape it's been in 20+ years? A week ago, Yes. Today, No. Honestly, our program has been under a dark cloud from the late 1980's to the early Buzz years with a few moments of sunshine with Foster and Greenberg. Buzz was all about Buzz. Marquette fans warned us 5 years ago. I'll remember the 3 straight NCAA Tourney appearances and Buzz's eccentric personality. Sometimes I thought he was self-serving. Other times I thought he was extraordinarily thoughtful and generous. I think Buzz is a good man and I can't question his faith, but he's not close to perfect. Then again, no one is.
