We lost all 3 games by less a TD. 2 losses by 4 and one loss by 2. All 3 losses were determined in the last minutes of each game. SU and UVa won theirs very late in the game and Tech couldn’t convert a TD to win against Temple in the last minute. In every win, the opponent never scored more than 20 points. We finished 9-3 that year. Beat both Clemson and Bama by a combined score of 75-7. Although, those 2 teams stunk that year.

Next to 1999, I felt like 98 could have been our 2nd best year in Beamer’s tenure if we had a slightly stronger offense.
