This sentence is completely silly. This would result in multiple millions of dollars in lost revenue, and since Whit is paying Mike Young and staff roughly what he paid Buzz and his staff (maybe $1.0 - $1.5 million less in aggregate), that would be a net decline of millions of dollars.

This sentence is also completely silly. Number one, VT will not sink to 1 win in ACC play long term as you suggested above. That would be a record of 1-19, which may happen the first year, but Mike Young is too good of a coach for that to persist. Number two, pardon my French, the ACC wouldn't give a rat's ass if VT stunk in basketball. I think they would actually like for VT to be one of the league's doormats and provide nothing but easy wins for Duke, UNC, Virginia, Louisville, etc.
