And S1>S2 at least somewhat (spoilers)

Probably because S1 was a real surprise. S2 has those expectations to live up to and while it's been solid there have been a couple stumbles IMO - like Johnny's old gang kicking butt in a biker bar, or the more heavy-handed use of flashbacks to draw parallels, that sort of thing.
