Looking into getting Irish citizenship for MamaHurlz. Apparently it's

pretty easy if you have a grandparent or parent born over there. Mom looked into it years ago but never really followed up so she asked me to do it. Per the website all I need is a the original birth certificate of my mom's grandmother or grandfather (mom's mom was born here and never had any papers or anything that made her an Irish citizen) and a death certificate.

My mom thinks the death certificate should be easy to get from the State of New York. The original birth certificates might be a little tougher since no one knows where they are and I'm not sure if Ireland has records/can produce certified copies for people who were born 15 years after the American Civil War ended.
