I've never been a big fan of the Everest thing...


to put it politely. It's Russian roulette, I've read Krakauer's book.

I like adventure, taking reasonable risks, but there's something really wrong with the "Because it's there" rationale. Looking at that picture, I can't imagine anything more miserable, being stuck in line at you life's goal, like something in a Woody Allen movie. And you might die.
