It seems mildly stupid to put a tree in the 2-3 feet section between sidewalk and road. But, of course, that was put there 30 years ago by the developer who wasn't too worried about the tree 30 years hence, just that it looked pretty and dainty at the time. They put one in each of our front tiny townhouse yards which most of us moved to the back. At the time even I'm thinking, "You know, this is a real tree (red maple) not a cute little ornamental (even the cute little ornamental next door has gotten pretty big) imagine the tree in the picture w/an 18 - 20" girth ten feet away from the house? Stupid. Even the neighbors tree was reaching over my deck before they cut it down. Real trees. And don't forget the "helicopter" double samara seed pods for tree litter.

Anyway, went on a rant. I'm guessing no damage, not even sure if that's a sewer or just a storm system in the picture, not even sure how that works. I do think we - at least the local area - got hit by a tornado, we'll find out today.
