The "screw him" mentality doesn't help anyone (and that pertains to life in general). I wouldn't call it burning them if the recruits then committed to the program. It's the nature of the game. Kids want to see the school, facilities, etc. so an OV has to be taken. I think your issue lies with the NCAA if you're upset that VT has limited OVs for a new coach because the whole recruiting class needs to be rebuilt.
