For good reason
there aren't that many of them around. The running back position has been devalued somewhat by the pros and therefore is of less value in the college ranks as well, not unimportant mind you but less important. Young players at 6-2 or better see that and want to play where they have more (draft) value, like linebacker, receiver, QB and these days particularly defensive back. There are therefore fewer of the big back types available with talent than years ago. The relative handful that are still there are snapped up by the 'blue bloods' (Ped State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, etc). Remember though that size is not everything: look at Ryan Williams, and other RBs who were I think at 6 feet or smaller who succeeded and did get drafted. As the saying goes, its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. If Keyshawn King for example pans out we will not be worrying about his exact height.
