sportsbooks in the city had already brought in $1.6 billion. That was in just the first 6-9 months. Like you say, that doesn't begin to touch what people spent on rooms, etc. It's huge business. The lottery is a completely different animal anyway. I spent a lot more on my weekend trip to AC than I've spent on the lottery in my lifetime. It's a different customer altogether, IMO.
