Weirdest year in sports


A friend pointed something out to me today. 1994 was 25 years ago (that's not what he pointed out to me - I used a calculator to figure that out myself), so he noticed a lot of odd sports anniversaries. For example:
Baseball strike led to no World Series
OJ (Monday will be the 25th anniversary of the chase)
Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan
Michael Jordan played baseball
Andres Escobar killed due to scoring own goal in WC
Buffalo Bills lost their 4th straight super bowl

Was there a weirder year in sports than 1994?
