A couple questions for Lounge guitar players:

Specifically talking about the right approach. When I'm moving up from F to G, I'm removing my "F" (index) finger when I press my ring finger for the G note. I started by leaving the F finger down which made it easier, but I think I'll have to unlearn it when I progress to chords. Does this sound right?

As for my right hand, I'm using my pinkie to hold my hand in place over the strings, and hitting the first string with my ring finger. When I start working on the second string, will use my middle finger to hit those notes, and continue using my ring finger for the first string.

Am I on the right track, or am I picking up bad habits?
