Hard to answer, since everyone is different.


My nephew can pick up an instrument, and with a little work, play it like a virtuoso. He's on the "high end" of the musical talent scale.

I think most people can learn how to play, and be a decent musician. They won't be earning money as a pro, but should be able to enjoy playing in front of their family. People who play professionally are, generally speaking, on a different level from the average musician. They are pretty dang good. Then you have the Eric Claptons of the world...lol
