WRT the possibility of UConn joining the MAC as a football-only member

I don't see that happening given the ultimatum the MAC gave UMass a few years ago. Plus, if UConn joins the MAC, then the MAC would have 13 members again and the conference would be in violation of NCAA bylaws because it couldn't have both divisions play a round robin schedule. I don't see the MAC changing its position and allow UConn and UMass to join as a football-only member. Most likely, UConn will either remain in the AAC as a football only member or become a FBS Independent.

If UConn leaves the AAC, then it will be interesting to see what the AAC does with Navy. If the AAC allows Navy to remain, then the AAC will have to find 1 school to balance out the divisions again or risk not being able to hold a CCG. I guess it is possible Army or UMass could replace UConn in the AAC as a football-only member or full member (in the case of UMass).
