UConn has one. Part of this is that they want to keep it.


And they don't want ESPN to be between them and SNY. Perhaps now they can ink one with NESN as well and broadcast all over New England.

They were playing a schedule that required too expensive travel. Their fans could not get into the teams visiting, and their recruits could not get into their schedule. They were in the wrong league.

They should be able to schedule Army and UMass football right away. Then they should try to arrange scheduling with Boston College, Syracuse, Rutgers, Maryland and Temple regularly. Many other of the ACC members have interest in playing in Connecticut for recruiting of students. I believe Duke and NCState have them on the schedule now.

I don't think too many midwestern members of the Big Ten recruit out of Connecticut, but perhaps some. And then the SEC will do pay games for UConn at SEC venues.
