The distilling process to convert the grain to fuel is a sinkhole

The energy expended to distill the energy eats up a huge amount of the energy produced and is fairly dirty both from a carbon and a find particle emissions standpoint. I worked in a town in IA that has a huge ethanol plant and the air quality in town is terrible, along with the smell.
