Yep, a team can afford to lose up to 10 games in CBB...


you’re finished in CFB if you lose 2. In addition, the NCAAT is a crap shoot and regions blow wide open every year. A team could win the NC without having to beat anybody in the Top 5- the highest ranked team UVA beat was TT, who was #9. That’s not possible in CFB.
