for the upcoming season. If a coach is always looking to the future, then he/she may forget to look at the here and now.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with coaches looking to the future or willing to sacrifice a season in order to rebuild. I just don't want it to turn into a habit or a coach use the "future" to justify being consistently thin at certain positions or having multiple average/sub-par seasons.
