Before the injury and as the incumbent, it was JJ's job to lose


Josh did everything the coaches wanted (ie, took care of the football), and for the most part, Tech won games under his leadership.

We can speculate, had JJ not gotten hurt, at what point in the 2018 season would the calls to give Willis a legitimate chance on the field become loud enough to force change.
