For a bunch of reasons. 1st the more years you can keep an athlete like Mekhi around the program the better. 2nd our trophy team lineup is still 2 years away. 3rd If he's serious , Mekhi greatly reduces his underdog chance of beating the great JB with such a short time to focus on freestyle after NCAA. Not to mention break time , fatigue , injuries , etc . 4th It allows DMF and Bolen to cut down to weights they have better shots at finals IMO . 5th Always tons of rumors about RS and weight changes this time of year from credible sources . Some happen some don't every year
