Yes they certainly helped no question.


But Bud specifically said 2003 defensive problems were a matter of "personnel" and everyone blasted him for it. "Personnel" can mean anything from inexperience to poor execution. Foster has made the GT offense impotent in some games when he's had the right personnel to defend it and he didn't suddenly forget how to scheme.
