Yes they will, history points to that not being King


Coaches have made it a point that they prefer predictable outcomes to boom or bust plays, unfortunately their predictable outcomes more often than not lead to punts.

Especially at running back they seem to have a preference for blocking over productivity on the ground. 2016 McMillian was far and away our biggest ground threat, yet he ceded most of his role to Sam Rogers who while a great player, should have never been our primary ball carrier. That continued into 2017 when McMillian got further pushed down the depth chart by dependable blockers like Peoples. Last year McClease started on fire, then we promptly switched to peoples and eventually a 3 person rotation.

They do fine at other positions, but RB hasn’t inspired much confidence the last 3 years.
