In my experience, they are MUCH better at handling. When we bought a 2005

Mustang (first year) we test drove one with low-pro tires on some crappy looking 18" wheels that were far better at turning than the standard 15" factory spinners. If the wheels weren't so tacky, we would have bought that car. Dealer wouldn't change them. As an aside, sticker price was all you could get. The GTs were sticker PLUS 4-5k. We finally found one (red vert with red leather) for sticker less $500. That was the best deal anywhere. The dealership was a Ford owned dealership at that time.
