Yep, Title IX, and meanwhile...


... friends of mine with daughters had them playing obscure sports early on - like field hockey - because colleges happily added those fairly inexpensive women's sports to offset all the football and basketball scholarships. Those girls (some of whom are average athletes at best) are getting multiple scholarship offers. Just facts.
