Not only are they both small, in the cases of Blacksburg and College Station, they have the same “types” of people. An “urban-chasing” kid is not going to feel more comfortable in College Station over Blacksburg. If the kid is truly chasing the “urban” lifestyle, I will assume he will forget those types of schools and sign with those big urban powerhouses of DePaul, St. John’s, USC(w), etc.
