The schools they highlight the most are long standing ACC schools that have brought many National Championships in major sports to the conference. Did you see how many banner were hanging in the Dean Dome and Cameron Indoor during the opening package? With National Championships comes brand awareness and exposure for the conference. The ACC is smart for highlighting those schools the most. It’s a business. Not mention the national following (not just alumni) for schools like UNC and Duke is much larger than VT.

If you were to ask a none sports fan from the west coast what conference UNC is in and what conference Virginia Tech is in, I guarantee they could answer for UNC...not for Virginia Tech.

If you want more exposure for VT, make larger donations to the school so we can get on the same level as UNC, Duke, Clemson, UVA...
