A lot of times, anxiety and OCD can lead to alcoholism. Makes you feel


"normal" and relaxed when your body is trying to be stressed.

That same sort of always on energy is also great for working out and getting in shape. Moving that energy from alcohol to lifting can definitely result in a big difference in a big hurry.
