Hokie Pro Golf Review - Week 35
With the Korn Ferry Playoffs ending, we have a better idea where our Hokies will be next year.
Johnson Wagner was one spot away coming into the week, but missed the cut with a disastrous 79 in round 1, which included a quintuple bogey 10 on hole 5. He will stay in the 126-150 level for the PGA Tour next year, where he has been for the last couple years.
Drew Weaver had a top 10 place coming into the weekend, but fell to a tie for 51st. He has a high status (level 5) for the Korn Ferry next year, and will be able to make his own schedule without worrying about the reshuffle.
Everyone else will have to go through Q school in the next couple months. Trevor Cone will enter at the 2nd stage. I assume anyone else will come in at the first stage.
The good news came from Japan where Scott Vincent finished T6 at the RIZAP KBC Augusta 2019 tournament. He won ¥3,316,666 which is about $31,225.75. He moved up to 21 on the Japan money list. He also scored 2.88 world points, which moved him up slightly to 171st.
