Yes I agree the two sides are managed with different pots of money, so yes different baskets. And yes revenue generated from sports within the AD, it goes to sports. And this is your main point.

But when you are asking me to give as an alum (a "resource") to both sides to help pay for things, well then you are asking for money from the same basket. If I have $1000 to give, I can either give it all to one side or split it up. So in a sense less goes to one or the other depending on my split.

But to the original article....pretty poor argument for whatever point they were trying to make.
